Wildflower Fields in Central Texas 🤠

Spring is rolling in, and that means our beloved Lone Star State is about to put on a spectacular show of wildflowers. And if you're anything like us, you're itching to capture your four-legged pal amidst the sea of vibrant petals.

According to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, TxDOT buys and sows about 30,000 pounds of wildflower seed annually, directly contributing to the large bluebonnet displays along Texas roads and fields!

Austin is practically blooming with photo-ops. And, we've picked the top 8 scenic locations for this year's bluebonnet season.

Reminder: Bluebonnets are not editable and when ingested are toxic. Don't let these flowers become a side salad for your pet. 

Best Wildflower Photo Spots in Central Texas

Don't forget to plan your pet's photoshoot between March and April for the best bluebonnet display. It's like nature's own red carpet! 🐾

1) Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

It's like the motherland of Texas wildflowers here. Capture your pet against a canvas of native beauty.

4) St. Edward's University

5) Pace Bend Park

7) Circle C Ranch Metro Park

This park is accredited as an easy going park with scatter bluebonnets in the Spring. If your pup loves open spaces and running through flowers, get ready for a fun photo session!

I don't know about you, but my camera roll is filled with pictures of my dog. If you want some tips on how to get the best pic, here’s are some quick tricks:

1) Level with them. When taking snaps of your pooch among the petals, remember to get down on their level. Those floofy faces deserve to be the star of the shot, right?

2) Keep focused on your pup. If your camera has a focus feature, make them the center of it!

3) Get their attention. With the help of a squeaker or their favorite toy, you can keep their attention and get the purfect head tilt moment.
