Wildflower Fields in Central Texas šŸ¤

Spring is rolling in, and that means our beloved Lone Star State is about to put on a spectacular show of wildflowers. And if you're anything like us, you're itching to capture your four-legged pal amidst the sea of vibrant petals.

According to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center,Ā TxDOT buys and sows about 30,000 pounds of wildflower seed annually, directly contributing to the large bluebonnet displays along Texas roads and fields!

Austin is practically blooming with photo-ops. And, we've picked the top 8 scenic locations for this year's bluebonnet season.

Reminder: Bluebonnets are not editable and when ingested are toxic. Don't let these flowers become a side salad for your pet.Ā

    Photo Tips šŸ“ø

I don't know about you, but my camera roll is filled with pictures of my dog. If you want some tips on how to get the best pic, hereā€™s are some quick tricks:

    1) Level with them. When taking snaps of your pooch among the petals, remember to get down on their level. Those floofy faces deserve to be the star of the shot, right?

    2) Keep focused on your pup.Ā If your camera has a focus feature, make them the center of it!

    3) Get their attention. With the help of a squeaker or their favorite toy, you can keep their attention and get the purfect head tilt moment.

    Safety First, Snaps Second šŸ

Safety is no joke, especially when out and about with your pets. Those waves of wildflowers might look welcoming, but some slithery residents think so too. Yikes! Brush up on your snake smarts here, and always keep an eye out for wildlife that might not love a doggy photoshoot as much as we do.

Ready to create some pawsome memories?

Pack your camera, treats, and maybe some water (for both you and your tail-wagger), and set off on your wildflower journey. Remember to share your breathtaking photos with us! Because really, is there anything cuter than a doggo in a field of wildflowers? We'll wait... šŸ˜
